After an intense day of climbing or an outdoor session, you want to take off your shoes – but the smell stops you. In my climbing community, "shoe odor" was a constant topic. As a biochemist, I often heard: "Can't you develop a biological cleaner?"
The search for a natural solution
I tried everything: vinegar, disinfectant, home remedies. But the results were disappointing – odors returned, and harsh agents damaged shoes and textiles. The breakthrough came through the power of nature: good microorganisms can break down odors instead of just covering them up. They displace odor-forming bacteria and ensure long-lasting freshness.
A cleaner that neutralized pet odors inspired me. If it worked for cats, why not for climbing shoes, textiles, or equipment? My first test was a resounding success: odors disappeared permanently, without chemicals!
From idea to Rock Fresh
Excited by the results, I developed a formula with beneficial microorganisms, free of toxins, with a refreshing scent of rosemary and ginger. After testing within the climbing community, Rock Fresh was born – a biological cleaner for shoes, textiles, and equipment.
